More stuff about me
DARK (2017 – 2020)
I love movies about time travel and living in multiple time spans simultaneously. That's why I like looking into the future exploring emerging technologies but also going back in time with old movies/music. A balance of future and past.
Those with Louis de Funès (1960s/1970s)
Watching old movies with Louis de Funès is like traveling in time (see previous point). I love his energy, humor, and the design elegance of the 1960s. And I rediscovered French by accidentally purchasing "Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez" in French instead of German.
But my favorite intro from all of Louis de Funès’s films is the one from "L'aile ou la cuisse":
Second favorite intro from "L'homme orchestre":
"Rouge no Dengon" by Yumi Matsutoya (1975)
I love the happy sound and the harmony. And the Japanese language is refreshing. You can listen to it while working without the words distracting you. The voice is simply another instrument that enriches the melody.
Another gem hidden by time: "Sukiyaki" by Kyū Sakamoto (1961).
"Théâtre d’Opéra Spatial" by Jason M. Allen (2022)
